INF: MS Access 97
INF: Bug in MS Access 97

Applies to: Access 97

Some rather special *bug* detected in MS Access 97:

This statement works fine:

SELECT T2.Code, T2.Flag AS Expr2
FROM TableEx AS T2
WHERE (((-1) Not In (select T1.flag from [TableEx] T1 where T1.Code =
T2.Code)));

but this:

SELECT T2.Code, T2.Flag AS Expr2
FROM TableEx AS T2
WHERE (((0) = All (select T1.flag from [TableEx] AS T1 where T1.Code =
T2.Code)));

...HANG ACCESS 97 (with NT 4.0 SP3 or Win95 no matter).

*TableEx* has very simple structure:

ID : AutoNumber
Code : Number (of any type)
Flag: boolean (Yes/No)
